Im still doing great. I basically have quit trying to lose weight anymore, not because I cant but because I am more concerned with building my fitness level and am letting the chips fall where they may basically. I am in the area I wanted to be weight wise, but also realize that as I pack on muscle my weight will go up. My ultimate goal was to be under 10% body fat and I have reached that goal, at a higher weight than I thought I would.
This past saturday I ran a 5K running race with my 8 year old daughter, her first. Together we ran it in 36:45, Im thinking if any of you guys suddenly thought it seemed bright out that was from the pride coming from me after watching Ally run a full 5K at only 8 years old!!! Plus my 6 year old daughter did the kids 1/4 mile race and she finished third overall and won the girls division!!!! I'll tell you what, I was the proudest person ever on Saturday. Now I just signed up for my first triatholon, which is on June 26th. It has been a personal life goal of mine to complete a triatholon, but I was never a runner so I stayed away. Now I get to finally do it about a month from now. I am so pysched up for it, I cant wait. I think triatholons are one of the ultimate tests of physical fitness as they test physical strength and mental strength as well as your cardio strength. Great job Ray, way to stick it out and reach your goals!!!! Jeff
