So they say history repeats itself and has been made true in my case.
This 71 Chevelle Wagon was built by my father and I back in the mid to late 80's as my first car. Unfortunately he was was tragically killed and this car was sold at auction before I turned 16.
We spent many of months converting this car to an 70 SS Chevelle Wagon true all the way to front disc brakes. The suspension is all true SS the interior is all true SS down to an exact built 396 that would be in an 70 Chevelle SS. This car took best of show at Super Chevy Sunday in Dallas back in '88 for most original clone.
Now almost 23 years later this car resurfaced into my life and is still in the exact same shape as my father left it when he passed. The paint is immaculate, motor, tranny still the same and still rumbles like any BB should. It was bought and enjoyed for about 5 years then covered and stored for the remaining 18 years. The only changes made were window tint, wheels (which I hate), and an aftermarket AC installed. My plans are to strip the tint and put factor SS wheels back on the car only in 17's. Sorry for the long wind but am really excited to be reunited with what would have been my first car. Now I am 37 years old and can really appreciate what I have.
