Default Prescription drug costs

If you don't have good prescription drug coverage, know someone who doesn't or need prescription drugs for a pet you might find this useful.

Our dog Annie turned 13 yrs old back in August. She's pretty healthy, some arthritis in the hips, but she's getting senile. They call it CCD, canine cognitive dysfunction. Get's confused, get's her days and nights mixed up. Roaming through the house in the middle of the night banging into stuff. The vet recommended a few drugs that would help and they are.

When I first started looking the cost was going to be outrageous. Then I found this website www.goodrx.com. Put in the drug and your zip code and it lists the price at all the local pharmacies. You can change the dosage and quantity and it will update the prices. Pick the lowest price, print out the coupon and take it to the drug store.

One drug is close to $90 for a 30 day supply at CVS without the coupon. With the coupon we got a 90 day supply for $24 and change, less than 1/10 the cost. Results are similar for the other 2 drugs. Kroger was cheapest on one of them, CVS on the other 2.
