Glass scratches and tinting.

Got some nasty scratches in my drivers door glass.
Anyone used one of those glass polishing kits with good results
Yes they are deep...feel with finger nail type.
If i tint the windows will i see them more or less.
Last resort...they are proud battle scars...leave them be.
BTW this is 47 year old original soft ray glass.
