Car & Bike "memorial cruise" in honor of my wife's cousin who died on his bike 2 years ago on the 3rd, then drink some beer afterward with his brothers and cousins.

4th:
tradition of reading the Declaration of Independence while I drink my coffee and work up the motivation to get off the couch.
take my kids to a parade
shoot my guns in celebration of my freedom to do so at the "range" behind the in-laws
cook-out at the in-laws
blow stuff up

5th: relax

Derek, I hope this does not include the motor in your Chevelle, that is just wrong.

Well, I won't be trying NOT to blow it up... I'm sure I'll bounce it off the rev-limiter more than once over the weekend.

Nothing much. Feed the dog tranquilizers because of all the fireworks. Never bothered her until a couple of years ago, she'll be 10 this summer. Now fireworks or thunder and she goes nuts, panting, trembling and trying to hide from it. She's a small black lab, first time she saw a rifle, actually was just a pellet gun, she ran over and sat down next to me. Like, oh boy we're going hunting and she sat there patiently waiting.

Anyway my son is going away this weekend and we don't want to put her in kennel with all the fireworks going off. If the weather holds up we'll go up to my uncle's place in Oscoda next week. Probably wash and wax the Chevelle and go to Baker's on Sunday.
