DTE estimate to restore power is between 9:30 PM and 11 PM today. Supposed to be 90 today and we can't run the AC on the generator. It's going to be a bit uncomfortable around here today.

It's 5500 watts, 8500 surge. It keeps the furnace going in the winter, runs 2 frig's, a deep freeze, tv, lights. We just cooked breakfast on the stove top. Don't think it will handle the oven though. Most important thing is it runs the well pump. You can do with out a lot of the other stuff but when you don't even have water it's no fun.

No power yet, latest update is 1:30 in the morning. I can't complain, okay yes I can. Those guys are out there working in this heat trying to get the power restored. I'm too old for this, I can't take 90 degrees and high humidity. I took a shower, grilled some steaks, boy were they good and now I need another shower.

Oh well, life is good. No electricity for a day or so is not a big deal. I could jump in the motorhome, start up the generator and turn on the AC. We're all good here Nancy, thanks for asking.

Got power back yesterday evening. Hey, we had a whole day without rain, of course we're supposed to get more thunderstorms today.

I'm pleased that everything is seemingly back to normal. All this is far too familiar to me, hurricane season starts up soon down here.

All you Michigan people...glad you're alright. Being prepared is what makes the difference.
