Not working on it as much as I'd like, but getting close...

Still need to put the windshield in and start the engine. (Hasn't run in about 6 years)

Well it is finally happening. I had the engine block in to fab up the clutch linkage and shifter hole so I could get the console in right.

Yesterday I started the pulling it out process. Which isnt as easy as it sounds. I got the world stored on the cherry picker i got to move. It should be out today.

My buddy talked to the machineist engine builder. He wants me to wait till i drop off the block to talk to him before I buy the heads and intake. He wants to make sure I get what he wants for his magic formula.

The engine builder guy says it comes in 3's for him. he is doing 3 496's for street cars. He said no problem in what I want. Good idle 600hp in a 496. He just did one and it turned out good.

He is going to check the block I got and said he has one if I mine isnt good and I need one.

I god the bank ready for this engine and the gear venders OD. so then we down to little stuff.

radiator condensor and dont laugh brake lines fuel lines and such.

Motor is at the guys house. He is no joke he got all the machines. That block isnt leaving the building I dropped it off at.

We himed and hawed around about what to use. final decision was BB-2 Plus heads. He ordering a special grind roller hydralic cam 246-252 @ 50. He gonna dyno it on his dyno. He says 550-600 area is what is expected.

He is loaded with work I told him just take your time.

He will call on monday or so after the magnaflux and block checking. Tell me what pressure valve springs to get on the heads. so it is in the works now. Next step is being done.

Well, I managed, about 2 weeks ago, to lean over the fender of the '65 and, since I was doing some grinding on some unrelated stuff, my shirt had iron filings on it and now my fender is scratched up. BAH!

I'll go to the body shop in a couple months to see what they can do to it.

What a dummy! Didn't even think about it.

I'll blame it on the Republican Senate - no.... they don't seem to do anything... maybe the House Democrats... yeah... Dam them democrats anyway!

My motor guy is about to balance all my rotating assembly. Things are moving now. He referred me to a clutch guy. He is having a special order centerforce clutch made to match the motors power. Seems it is stouter than the ones they advertise.

I cleaned it yesterday did the top and all.

I tried to bleed the brakes a few weeks ago. Can't get it to stop leaking where the front to rear line meets the proportioning valve. Mind you... all new parts: lines, prop valve, master cylinder, booster, etc.
