I actually think I would make sure that Joan's vert was taken care of and that you got your truck done. Maybe even take that 55 off your hands. Dreaming.......

I fired up the new big block and broke it in last night.
Couldn't take the '67 out for a ride....was raining but I plan on driving it tonight, weather permitting.
This baby BBC is very crisp...sounds healthy but more tame the the past few engines I've built. The Q-jet carb from SMI is right on!
Just what I wanted...

Somethings doesn't sound right. Parts are basic for most A body cars. Did you take your old brake shoes in from one side to compare them before you picked them up? I always take parts with me to make sure I'm getting the correct parts. Even ground can send you the wrong parts at time.

yeah i didnt do that but the the final straw was when i got everything together it wasnt lining up and then i looked at the wheel cylinder and found that it was completely wrong its about 1 inch longer then the stock one. I spent $158 bucks on all my parts i and tools i am going to return all of it i am so up set over it!

Drove the '67 to a local cruise night and out for dinner last evening...the first miles on the new engine.
Ran perfect...and NO leaks!
Amazing what losing 100 cubes and a big double pumper carb will do for gas mileage. This 396 with the Qjet used about 1/3 of what I would have burned with last year's engine.

Sorry to hear about your injury John.

The Acworth cruise was PACKED!! A beautiful night...saw Dewayne and Gwen there too. I looked for you and Joan...also thought I'd FINALLY meet up with Eric.
