Cleaned up yard debris and mowed the lawn, Oh I mean moss. Little cool, but the sun was out.

Another fun day working in the rain up by Seattle today. I was soaked by the time I got to my Hotel. Even rain gear didn't help today.

I have been dealing with trying to get rid of the ice left by the snow melting last week when we had a couple days in the high 30's. Now we have the next week of temps that will all be below 20 degrees. Don't expect to see 20+ degrees until next Tuesday.

And now we have spotty snow showers. Would someone please let Mother Nature that we have suffered enough.

Seattle had 19 straight days of rain as of last monday. The last 2 days have finally been nice and almost 60 today. Going to be in the 40's by the weekend up here. I'm headed back down to Oregon on Friday but looks like rain over the weekend.

Weather
"This Is the City Hardest Hit By the Awful Winter
By David Winograd @davidwinogradFeb. 25, 2014"

Follow @TIME

"This winter has been among the worst in years for many parts of the U.S., but a new weather index finds that it’s been especially bad for one city in particular.

On a relative basis, Detroit is experiencing the most extreme weather of any city in the country, the Associated Press reported Tuesday. That report was based on an index created by National Weather Service meteorologist Barbara Mayes Boustead.

Boustead’s analysis, based on cold temperatures and snowfall, found that Detroit is in the middle of its harshest winter since 1950. Detroit has had 6.5 feet of snow so far this winter and 100 days of below-freezing temperatures.

New York, Milwaukee and Duluth, Minn. also topped Boustead’s extreme weather index—those cities are experience their fourth worst winters—while Minneapolis-St. Paul, Louisville and Cheyenne, Wyo. are experiencing winters that rank in their respective top 10 worst.

Much of Detroit’s extreme weather this winter can be attributed to geography and bad luck, the index’s co-creater Steve Hilberg explained, as a change in the jet stream has directed arctic winter air towards the city."

We hit 61 today, but it poured most of the day. Looking like around 60 the rest of the week, but the rain is going to be here also. Mountain snow is going to start to melt so the rivers are going to rise even more then they are already.

Ray are they predicting a lot of flooding in your area ??

Here we are still dealing with the frigid cold. But the weather man says that we might get into the the 30's. Above freezing....that is almost unreal for us.

There is a good chance our local rivers are going to flood by the weekend. We are expecting between 2 to 4 inches of rain in the next 2 days with freezing levels being high in the mountains. Our 2 large rivers the Willamette and the Columbia are already starting to climb, but so far are below flood stage. Good chance we will have mud slides like California is having with all this rain. We are now caught up on the rain gauge for the year.
