Watching the weather a bit ago and they say you guys around Brighton were getting some bad weather, with a tornado on the ground. Did you get hit?

We were in Dryden Michigan tonight and the weather was really freaky. About 7 pm it started raining. The lightening and thunder got really bright and loud. The rain was light at first, then it got really loud. Then it started hailing. The hail was the size of large peas, it lasted about 5 minutes. Then really hard rain again.
I am watching the news right now and am watching the damage done in Dexter. 13 homes were destroyed by a tornado and they said that there was over 100 homes damaged also. They are saying that there are no fatalities, which is a positive. I hope that everyone is safe. Left Dexter at 9:15pm, got home at 10:30pm. There was a LOT of fog and rain on the drive home. Then we get home and it barely looks like it rained at my house at all.

You were only 5-6 miles away from me, what were you doing up this way? I live on Rochester rd. about 5 miles south of Dryden rd. It was pretty harry looking around here for a while. Last Thursday I was down in Louisa, Ky. attending two funerals for my aunt and her 14yr old grand daughter who both past away from the tornado that went through Lawrence Co. Ky. a week ago. There were two survivors (my 65 yr old uncle and a grand son) in the home too. I'm glad we didn't have the kind of wide spread damage that they had down there last week. Gary |

We were lucky, it traveled south east from the Hell, Pinkney area just south of Brighton. Most of damage was in Washtenaw county. We didn't even lose power and we lose power all the time. You could hear and see the lightening but none was close to us, which is good. Last I heard they reported over 13,000 lightening stricks within an hour from the storm front. Hope everyone else is safe too.

Gary, we were at at an Airgun Bench Shoot at Precision Airgun. Our friend Jim owns Precision Airguns and Supplies, 5213 Bordman, Dryden, MI 48428. It is about an hour drive from our house, depending on traffic. We usually go up throughout the day, but they only do the bench shoots in the evenings.
Culver's on Lapeer Road, just past the Palace, will start their cruises on May 1st and I am hoping to get to that one. Have you ever been to that cruise ? I may not have the Chevelle for the 1st few cruises, but I hope to drive up to that one near the end of May, beginning of June. Maybe we can get a group of guys to check that one out.

Ya, lot of damage down in Dryden, I'm sure you saw the pictures on the news. You hate to say it but I'm glad it wasn't here, glad no one was hurt or killed too.
