At least he tried that gets high marks from me, sure beats some men who don't. Lately we have been going together on parts for the car instead of other gifts, I bought a new carburetor and he is doing the disk brakes for our anniversary. After years of guessing what to buy each other this seems to work and the car gets further along.

I look at it this way. As we get older, why not get things that we want/need instead of something that we are just going to sit on a shelf or pack away. I love it when I get things for my car on Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mothers Day, Sweetest Day, or any day. It shows that he cares about the things that I love.
