First free spring height is no indicator of install height. you need to know load rate, spring rate and free height and you can figure installed height.

divide Spring rate into Load rate and then subtract that from free height = installed height.

see below.



this is a list of oem spec springs and some others (moogs) if you know your front end weight you can replace the load rate with your cars front end weight and do math above and see if the that spring will raise or lower your car based on its weight.
