GREAT NEWS!!!
Carpoor, I talked to my insurance company. They went through 21 years of records and found my policy from 1991! They found the VIN!!!!!!!!  Allow me to plug State Farm Insurance here for a job well done. They went above and beyond. I still don't have the car, but this should make it easier.
