Try this link and see if it helps any. Shows the grommet going through the fire wall just to the left of the AC unit on the fire wall. Look under the 68-69 PDF, should be the top one.
http://www.gobookee.net/69-chevelle-...-line-diagram/ I'm not an expert on 69, but I thought there no vacuum pods on the 69's were 70 did have them? This picture may not be for a 69

Slowly putting it together. As you can see in previous photos. I found the assembly photos in the book. Then did some digging. What I found was several things. First was the location of my mystery parts. Second the area the vacuum line passed through to get to mystery parts location.
As yall pointed out it was in the passenger side of the cowl. The air actuator is the mystery part and it is actually comprised of 2 parts. The actuator & the flapper. My body man installed the flapper, but did not have the actuator on it The reason I believe I cant find the hole for the vacuum line in my cowl, is most likely because I replaced the entire cowl early on in this project? Looks like I just need to drill a hole in the location shown in the assembly manual with a square half filled in at a angle that says "hose" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Next hiccup is the actuator arm, it has a small 90 degree piece that screws to the end. That I believe bolts to the flapper. My 90 degree piece is broken. Wonder if those are available aftermarket??? Number 7 in photo
If yall may have one please let me know.

Drilled the hole and got the grommet in and line run to actuator. Now to determine were the broken nipple goes to???? The pictures show the tee connector broken in the top left of photo. There is a hole in the top right of the firewall, noticeable in the photo. Could my broken mystery line go out that hose to a vacuum source? I would think it would be a A/C controlled source rather than constant engine vacuum. Hence the hole and the line going in that direction?????

Found a box of some missing parts that are the missing links to my questions.
Im really looking forward to getting back on this project hot and heavy. Between a ground up scratch built motorcycle Im building for a customer and starting my new business, the ole Chevelles has been neglected. More progress pics coming soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
