It sounds like you don't know whether you are coming or going. But they must have kept you around because you are of value to them, so you must be doing something right. I wish you the best Hank. And keep us informed about the office supplies cause I could probably use some too.

This is a sad story. It sounds like the doors are closing...but you need to be on the lookout for the one that is going to open, Hank. One always does.

Actually the doors aren't closing, not on the building anyway. The new owners say they want to bring in other business and fill the place up. That would be amazing if they did. The plant was built by Burroughs which merged with Sperry and became Unisys. The new owners are going to call the business Burroughs Payment Systems so they'll be bring back the old name too. I started with the old Burroughs, I won't be part of the new Burroughs but hopefully they do grow the business and bring the place back to life.

I use to work at the Burroughs plant in Windsor Ontario back in the mid sixties. We had a truck that went to the Plymouth plant daily to bring back parts for the assembly line in Windsor. Burroughs was a great place to work back then.

Secretaries? What are secretaries? We've had to do all that kind of stuff ourselves for years.

It's amazing how this company thinks. They lay people off and think there are 10 other people that know the same stuff. Then they ask
"Well what about this?"
"Beats me, so and so did that, you laid him off last year."
"Well who did this?"
"That was what's his name, he was let go a few months back. What did you think? Those people didn't do anything?"

Then they act surprised because there's nobody around that knows certain things. I just shrug my shoulders and walk away. I guess I have a bad attitude. I should be fired, please!
