Placed want ads, and searched for parts for the 69'. If anyone knows of any parts cars near them - holler! I am currently mostly concerned with finding a glove box door and the sheet metal around it from a solid car for a patch panel. I have a lead, but his parts cars are currently snowed in up in CT.

Had a short day at work. So, I pulled the non tilt coulmn out of my 72'. Realized the blinker arm and tilt lever on my tilt column weren't that nice, ordered a few things from Ground Up. (They have free shipping this weekend BTW)

Also chased a few leads on parts for the 69'.

I picked up a second rear seat for the 69' today. Also finally got around to cleaning everything out of the car and trunk so I could sort through it all.

Installed the tilt column in my 72' after months of not being able to do so. It fought me the whole way. Figure this one out... the harness is all new from American Auto Wire. The car is a 72', the column I installed is from a 72'. But the long, skinny 9 pin connector wouldn't plug in to the tilt column. I had to modify the plug on the car harness to fit the plug on the column.

By the time I got the coulmn back in, it was after 6pm and my afternoon was shot. Still need to install the steering wheel and steering shaft to complete the swap.

Steering wheel and steering shaft are installed. Again, getting that steering shaft in was no fun. I had a fight on my hands from the word go. I also crawled under the car to tighten the U-joint straps. I shoved the DS in last year while I was hurt and waiting on surgery - never did more than finger tighten the bolts. I also rolled the engine over by hand a few times, nice and smooth. Can't wait to have some time off from work so I can thrash on it for a few days and get it running.

These few things killed an afternoon, sad.
