I would say that smaller radiator was factory. They must have used them in the smaller V-8 non-A/C cars too. Here's the sticker that was on mine before I sandblasted it off. It say something about the 250hp V-8 idle speed.



Dang I just bought a chrome one from JEGS last night. It was pretty cheap, plus I need a few other things. Thanks for the offer though!

My 69' is a factory L48 300 HP, 4 speed car. It had the three bolt top plate and a small radiator from the factory.

I am swapping to the HD cooling - bigger radiator, 4 bolt top plate, and 772 clutch fan.
