Truck started running hot Sunday night. Limped it home, coolant starts pouring out. I got it apart today. Someone had previously replaced the water pump, but the cheap SOBs reused the original gaskets and o-ring. They globbed on a ton of orange rtv sealant. So rather than spend $10 on two gaskets and an o-ring... ugh.
I put a new pump on it even though the one I took off seemed OK. No more leaks, runs nice and cool. Took me about an hour and a half, start to finish. I really wanted to have this engine and transmission out and the other one in by now. I hate to spend money and time on things that I have no intention of using. Still haven't had time to get my radio installed, maybe Thursday.

Radio installed, and I finally have tunes. Happier than a pig in $h#t right now.

The Pontiac is almost completely assembled. That was my goal for this year.
