We only made one pull before the sun broke through the rainy clouds yesterday and I rushed it to the alignment shop. Going on a cruise today and will drive it this week to determine what the driveability needs.

On the pull
It made 488.76 HP & 458.59 TQ with the Prosystems carb straight out of the box and on 34 degrees of timing. With a conservative 25% drive train loss (automatic, mechanical fuel, water & clutch fan) that equates to 650 crank HP which was exactly what I told Mike Lewis I wanted out of this thing. I honestly expected around 440/440 to the tires so 489/459 was excellent and made more than everyone at the shop predicted!

Next Friday the car will be back for some dyno tuning & finishing up a few small things we just didn't have time to complete. Not sure the motor has much more in it but we will play with the timing and see.

Should run bottom 11's on a tire, possibly may break into the 10's. Depends on the converter, gearing, tire, vehicle weight. Any plans to throw a tire on it and see what it will do?

I have a set of MT ET street radials mounted on a set of 15x10 factory style wheels to swap on so I have the tire. This thing has a 3.42 gear and a 3200 stall so it'll move but not set up for racing

My old 2000 Z28 was around 3800lbs with driver in race trim. It made 480RW on a stingy dyno. I had a SY3500 Yank converter, and 3.73 gears with a 28" tall drag radial. It was a consistent 10.7 - 10.8 car at 124-125 MPH. The best thing was the 23-24 MPG on the highway with the OD trans.

Final Post /thread.

Pictures from the weekend cruise. Car did great. Broke an alternator belt but other than that was excellent! I managed 15-16 mpg on the interstate doing 80-85 mph which completely blew me away! I checked my odometer to the GPS for 100 miles just to make sure and it was only off by maybe 1 mile in the 100. Fuel tank full every time to the point I could see it in the filler neck. The small block didn't even do that well and I was booking it on the way back home from Phenix City, AL yesterday.
