I went out and looked at that and it is bolt and not riveted on mine and will clean that to see if that works. Also noticed a gas leak at the rubber line where it meets the metal line so that has to be fixed as well.

Most likely the same reason the clock doesn't work.

Ha, Clock that does not work is in the Camaro and I think Tony did it to see how far he could push me.

Ray, I found this image online of a 72' W-code car without AC. The orange wire looks like the one in my engine bay - it appears to run to the heater box. (for the fan motor, I think?) Anyhow, I don't believe I need it, my car has AC. Not sure why they put that in my harness? It's an American Autowire harness IIRC. Now I am just down to the one black wire I can't figure out.

It runs! Have a fuel leak on both ends of the carb to pump line. (despite being tight) The tach wasn't working, just resolved that. And the key switch has issues... I will have to swap in the switch from the non tilt column out of the car.

Just the same... HUGE relief!
