Looks like the work on the house has been put on hold since I tore off the old rotten laundry room. I have to summit a new set of plans showing how the laundry room is going to be built for approval. No more concrete work can be done until I get the approval. I'm guessing two to three week delay at this point. Work on the car this weekend, that would be nice.

Well after a 6 week delay the beach house will be sitting on it's new foundation by wednesday. I also just found out I have to go through a class on lead paint dangers. A new law is now in effect as of April 22nd of this year, that any house built before 1978 requires safety precaution for lead paint. It is a 32,000 dollar fine per violation for failure to protect for lead paint dust by a contractor. You should wear a respirator mask and the white coveralls you can throw away in a plastic bag, and use a hepa filter vacuum. Test strips are available to check your paint.
Found more info and home owners are exempt from the new law but still need to take precaution to protect yourself. Ray
