Rebuilt the rear suspension on the '72 today...
Removed the frame mounted trailer hitch, trailer wiring, old upper and lower control arms, original springs, and aftermarket air shocks.
Replaced with new Moog rubber bushings in the 12 bolt, fresh boxed upper and new UMI tubular lower control arms, new Moog cargo springs, ACDelco gas shocks, and added a new 7/8" rear sway bar. Rear brakes looked good.
Oh yeah...also replaced the rubber rear body filler strip and the rear bumper (orig was dented).

Tomorrow the front end suspension gets the attention...including installing a Wilwood drilled/slotted/zinc washed disc brake kit. Along with a new disc/drum master cylinder and new Rightstuff brake lines.
Surprised that this '72 has front drums...

Then ,as soon as the new carpet arrives, the front buckets come out for new Legendary covers and ACI foam.

I'll leave the engine mods for last.

Wow! You were busy Bill. Should ride and handle like a new car when you're done.

John,
Air shocks were holding air when I removed them. I've you want them I'll save them for you. All the air lines/fittings are intact too.
The trailer hitch...Class II 1 1/4" receiver type...was bolted to the frame. Not sure what I'm gonna do with it yet.
AC-Delco gas shocks I've had for a while...think I bought them @ Rockauto...
