Thanks,

I made the pieces to quiet them down. They are perforated stainless. I rolled them into a cone shape and slid them into the pipe just in front of the turn down. I was surprised but they did help. Not enough though. I am going to take them out and order muffler inserts from Speedway. I can get them in 3 1/2" by 7" long. My father-in-law has them on his 33 chevy. I was wanting to keep the restriction to a minimum but I can't get pulled over every time i drive this thing either. I took a video to post but the car is so loud that it just sounded like white noise. I'll try again after I tone it down a bit.

No tail pipes or crossover pipe? ( X or H) Both would tone it down A LOT.

You are right, I just dont want to run tail pipes. I like the sound of large straight pipes. I just gotta get it pulled down a little more. I'll get there just got to play with it.

Well, I have given up on my home made mufflers. I am going to get some 3.50 inlet / outlet mufflers. Also going to do the H pipe. I spoke with my engine builder and he told me to make the H as close to the headers as I can. I got a breakdown on my H.P. and torque while I had him on the phone. Top horse is 570 and torque is 511. Best shift point should be at 5500 to 5700 with 533 horse and 511 torque. I have a 2800 stall, and should be making 413 lbs. of torque at that point. My converter should flash around 3400, my guess would be around 450 torque at that point.

Looks great...I'm guessing the same color ("K" Code Art Turq) as my '66 is.
What color is the interior?

Nothing new on the interior. I put a pair of 69 Camaro buckets in it for now. Except for the B&M shifter and the dash pad, its bare bones steel inside. We took it to the local cruise in tonight. I drove the '39 and my son drove the Chevelle. No interior and rusted quarters, it still drew a lot of lookers.

Bill you are correct the paint code is KK. The interior was black, and almost perfect. The guy that had it before me got hard up for cash and sold the interior for $250.00.

Thanks, I ordered the material for my roll cage today. I'm hoping to bend it this weekend.
