How's progress Hank? Was it fun watching Henry do all the work? Did you have to keep yelling at him?

Last week and half, two weeks have been pretty good. I'm feeling a lot better, don't have the pain like I use to. Feels sore, like a bruise but not that bad. Can't do a whole lot yet but do what I can. Hardest part is I can't carry anything unless it's really small because of the crutches. Go to Dr next week, hopefully he says weight on left lag as tolerated and that I can drive. Don't really feel any pain doing the 30% weight which I sure is a lot more that 30% at times. Sometimes I just forget, don't pay attention and put a lot more weight on than I'm supposed to. So things are doing good, thanks for asking.

Didn't have to yell at Henry, he did a lot of stuff the last two weekends. He better because he knows if he doesn't than it all falls on Lynda.

Well, saw the rehab doc the other day. I thought this is taking a long time. I can walk straight if I stop and think about it, otherwise I would tend to favor the left leg and walk with a limp. It still hurts and can really hurt by the end of the day depending on how much I've been on my feet. He said I'm doing good, most people couldn't walk straight and would be using a cane at this point. I guess that's good, just wish things would move along a little faster.

Saw the ortho doc yesterday. Still a lot of pain in my shoulder after a month of therapy. It will wake me up at night and doesn't move in some directions too well. Going for an MRI next week, he says I may have a small tear in the rotator cuff. I don't need this crap! Rotator cuff surgery, there goes another couple of months.

Oh well, don't have a job to worry about. I'm still here and still kicking, maybe not as hard I use to but still kicking. Right arm is good and that's the one I drink beer with, life is good.

As long as the beer arm works, you will be fine.

Jeez Hank, I'm thinking a heart attack is a lot easier than what you are going through....I was up and back to work in 2 weeks. Maybe next week if you are up to it I can stop by on the way home from work since Leslie will be in Canada for work all week.

Hank, it sounds like you are taking one step forward and two steps back. Let's hope that the shoulder is just a sprain.

It is nice to hear, though, that your beer arm is still working well.

I think you're right Ric. The docs say a pelvis fracture usually has a good outcome, things heal up and no long term affects. Downside is it's extremely painful and takes a long time to fully recover. The shoulder, guess all the drugs they were giving me for the pelvis covered up the shoulder injury. Hopefully it's not the rotator cuff. Both the hip and shoulder suffered a lot of soft tissue damage that doesn't heal up as fast as the bone fractures.

Hey, I'm usually around. Give me a call, like to see you.

John be careful, you never know. I've climbed that ladder a 100 times to get on the roof. Make sure the feet are securely planted, better yet have someone standing on the bottom rung when you go up and down.

Keeping my fingers crossed, had an MRI on the shoulder today. See the doc on December 1st, sure hope the rotator cuff is not torn. Funny thing is yesterday we had a huge limb removed from a tree that extended over the shed. Limb was about 14" around and reached to the far end of the shed which is 20' long. Anyway I walked up and down the hill picking up logs and throwing them into the pickup. Leg got a little sore which it does when I walk on uneven ground. Thought for sure the shoulder would keep me up at night. No, didn't keep me up, wasn't really sore and doesn't bother me today. First time in months I can say that. It's still not right, can't bend it around in different directions like the other but it's not bothering me. Maybe that's a good sign, I sure hope so. I got a lot of shit I'd like to do and this crap is really slowing me down.
