Default Black Friday Sale at the Donut Shop

Today I was driving on the expressway, traveling in the center lane. I was traveling the same speed, 65mph (posted speed limit was 55mph) if not slower than the traffic in front of me.

All of a sudden flashing lights appeared in my rear view mirror. Before I could even consider pulling over, a Michigan State Police car flew past me. The weirdest thing was the noise that this car made as it past me. I was like a high pitched woosh, like air rushing but with a high pitch at the end. Now I know that the Michigan State Police are driving the new Charger and I don't know if it was a noise from the car, or just the wind rushing.

But as fast as they came up behind me, they were gone in front of me. I turn to David and he said, "There must have been a Black Friday Sale at the donut shop".

I know, I think I laughed so hard that I had tears in my eyes.

The joke was definitely funny. The air rushing sound was the exhaust. Not all hot rods have an exhaust note. You can hear the engine running, but it may not have an audible exhaust note. All you hear is the air rushing out of the tail pipe.

Nothing more exciting than the sound of rushing air at the drag strip.

Thanks for the answer to the sound rushing question. It was really strange.

And I too love, in general, almost all the sounds at the drag strip.
