Default Figure i say hello from PA

Hello all! i have been trolling around for a while and my buddy Aaron told that i just need to give up and join so here i am. I just bought a 69 SS not sure if its a Chevelle or a Chevelle SS but all i know is i loved it so far...lol Now i am not new to turning wrenches. I have an 88 mazda rx7 that i had an LT1/T56 that i took out and stuffed an 02 Vette LS1/T56, here is the video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6NltmnYR4M

and now to my Chevelle! i have been searching for a chevelle for a long time now and i found one that i loved but things just didn't work out because he was 1000 miles away and we couldn't agree on shipping and so on. So a friend of mine posted his up for sale and i jumped on it. here is the story behind the car. It was a full race car for a good chunk of its life. The guy retired the car in 1982, it had a full roll cage fuel cell all the goodies you can think of as a race car. He left the car alone and took it to the local strip from time to time. finally in 2000 he sold it to my friend. Who began to change the car over from a race car to a regular car again. So he replaced pretty much everything, Floor, trunk (due to the big hole from the fuel cell) wheel wheels in the rear and 1/4s, then he put back the manual trans that came with the car. he drove it around for a little bit but the motor was not in great shape. He rebuilt the motor but never put it back. and he needed money badly so he sold it to me! now for the pics!

thank for looking

Welcome to the site...

enjoying the eye candy man, L88 hood, boxed LCA's, etc. the pink stripe adds that 80's touch that screams "drive it like you stole it" to me.

Welcome Shaun. I am pretty sure that those are mag wheels. But not the factory mag's.

Jake, those look like SSM lift bars on the rear. They do plant the rear tires, I had I set on my Chevelle, but they also make for a pretty stiff ride.

Anyway, glad you decided to join us Shaun.
