Default Mad dad on facebook.

This video is one ticked off dad. There is some strong language in the video, but this is what every parent needs to see. And this is why my kids at home do not have a facebook page.

I don't think it was invading her privacy. I think he was being a parent and monitoring what she was doing. If my mom had found a letter (no internet so it would have had to actually be written) like that when I was younger, she would have beat my behind. Would your view have been different if he had a beer or a glass of wine in his hand?

Nowadays too many kids have freedom to go anywhere and do anything, especially on the web.

I would hope you wouldnt "beat your child's behind" for simply expressing themselves .. not only is that against the law but it is idiotic and damaging (sorta like cigarette smoking!).... I would hope you broke the circle of abuse.

If this girl had a diary and wrote such gibberish in her diary and her dad "found" it in her diary whilst he was changing the light bulb in here room ... then that would be no different then the justification he gives for finding it now .... he was a snoop and to add to it he is an ass for degrading his own child with this public (viral) tirade...... very inmature and idiotic conduct on his part and if this is the example he sets for life-skills his daughters "letter" is understandable.. how could anyone, let alone his own child, have any glimmer of respect for this yo-yo?

I don't condone what he did, posting the video cause I think that is questionable. What I am saying is that how kids behave now is with no respect for the parent at all. I have seen kids say these things to their parents in public settings. And the parents have no recourse because society had deemed what they can and can't do when disciplining their children. I feel bad for some of the parents whose kids act like that.

It was a different time growing up in the late 60's, early 70's. Spanking your kids was accepted, do I hate my mom for this no. Do I respect my mom, oh hell yes. She is a strong woman who I would have never said any of those things to.

We have taught all 6 of our kids to be individuals, to express themselves and to respect people.

I didn't post this to make anyone mad. I posted this because, whether people admit it or not. Sometimes we all get frustrated with our kids and want to do something about it. He just happened to post it in public for the world to see.

Poor gun safety... residential neighborhood, and doesn't keep it pointed in a "safe" direction.

Last time I checked, until your kid moves out on his own it's fair came to investigate any sketchy behavior. Maybe the smoke has clouded my judgement,I shall re-think my position on this while having a smoke.
