I am so happy for you John. It has been a long time coming. How is your weather down there right now ? When you get your truck are you going to be able to take it right out ?

Our weather right now is cloudy and cold ,34 degrees with high winds . Im not sure how I will deal with the weather when the truck is done .The bodyshop may not let it out until its sunny as it has to have a photo shoot outside below the shop sign so that it can have a framed photo next to the Chevelle . They got a couple of wrecks in so it may slow down a little bit but they are ready for it to come home as am I. I am finally getting very excited about it.

The truck is fully assembled now and the shop owner took it for a short test drive .It has a few minor problems that need to be worked out ,the front brakes are grabbing badly which may just be sticky calipers ,the trans is not shifting right and the carb needs a little fine tuning .The original parking light assemblys were so corroded they could not get new bulbs in so I have those ordered .It needs an alignment ,a little undercoating under the rear wheelwells and the they need to cut and buff the paint .I have more pics that we will try to send to Ray to post for us .I think you will like it ,I know I do.

Can't wait to see some pictures. That thing looked sharp in the last set of pictures you had. Hope the bugs are easy to take care of.

Thanks for posting those for me Ray ,it has turned out pretty nice ,now if we can get the trans working .They have a few wrecks they have to deal with and Im stuck at work the next several days due to the upcoming possible ice storm so it may be a while before anything else gets done.

Bill ,it only has high gear ,wont take first or second .A couple of local mechanic says something may just be stuck but it would cost as much to take it back out and see as having another one rebuilt so Im going to have the original one rebuilt even though it worked fine when we took it out just to be sure. Bill ,travel safe ,the weather here sucks .I had to spend the night on campus last night as they thought the weather was going to be bad ,just had rain though. Tonight is expected to be worse and they let us come home.
