No worries and no hurry! When we put the car on the lift yesterday and were prodding around under it I mentioned having them just pull everything off as an assembly so it'll be easier to keep up with. If it is the Peachstate show before we see each other, no problem. I'll throw everything in a box and put it all in the basement with all my other parts I seem to have no use for (like the steering column I just removed and don't really know why I should keep). My goal is to not have hidden treasures when I finally move out of this house!

Motor went in the car tonight. Might have a better video later. Apparently when you text someone a video the quality is significantly reduced.
First just a few teaser shots ![]() ![]() Hanging from the picker ![]() Bad quality video, but progress, none-the-less! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pIdy9e9OZo

Few photos of current progress.
The transmission went in yesterday and the headers & exhaust were put in place today. The Magnaflow 3" exhaust kit fit like dog do-do. The exhaust pipes are too short by about 8 inches so those will have to be modified. If things continue at this pace the front suspension will be done by mid week and this car should be ready by next weekend (or at least on the dyno for tuning by then.) Car as of first thing this morning ![]() Doug's D316 1 7/8" Headers are TIGHT! I don't know how people fit 2" primaries on this car... Had to clearance the 200-4R to get the passenger side to fit ![]() Driver side lower A-arm. Definitely tight! ![]() They sit nice and level and tuck up to the floor board real well ![]() Super short exhaust tail pipes that will need to be corrected ![]() Motor sitting in place and getting ever so close to firing up!

Looking good. One thing I have heard about some headers is being to close to the brake lines and distribution valve on the left side and causing problems. Again great looking job.

Thanks! The distribution block has decent clearance as I did take a look at it today, specifically because I have a new one to put in and wanted to make sure there was adequate room to work. Hopefully there won't be any problems, plus the Ceramic coating should help to some extent.

Feeling a little surrounded at the shop today
![]() ![]() Not done by any means but they anticipate starting the car tomorrow for the first time (sad I'll miss it). Still need some finishing touches under the hood, a new drive shaft, exhaust tail pipes & the entire front suspension is yet to be touched but it is getting close to the point where I can feel it.
