Got my rear window installed, what do you think? The old one was clear and let in too much sunlight. This one definitely blocks a lot more sunlight.
Started cleaning out the pinch weld today. Cardboard will hopefully keep some of the crap out of car. A brass wire wheel to remove the urethane, butyl, and mystery goop I couldn't scrap and cut out. Spot blaster to remove the rust Not too much, lower corners as expected. Didn't get the rear finished today, close to 90* this afternoon. Once the sun moved past the shed and I was in the sun I quit. Don't really want to blast that crap out inside the garage. I'll have to start early tomorrow to take advantage of the shade. Then on to the front windshield. |

A vinyl top can hide a lot of sins. My car was stripped down when I bought it. Along with the bumpers, front clip and engine, all the trim was off. No obvious rust at that time and it's been kept in a garage since then. The only rust was under the window and sealer and isn't that bad for a 43 year old car.

I did a little interior work myself today Eric...
Installed the freshly recovered middle seat back into the wagon...which I picked up yesterday from Keys. But, I have run out of original patterned SMS material now so will have to order a yard or two of each design to replace the 3rd seat cover. Sounds like a project for this winter. Sadly, only the front bench was ripped on the driver side but after it was redone, the other seats vinyl were showing up faded. ![]() Cost to replace all three seats now has become pricey. Oh well, off to the Ohio show in two weeks!!!

Drive shaft will be back today!
I am ready to go bang through some gears!!!!!!!! It has been nearly 2 years since my last manual and I have definitely missed it! I probably should call up Moser and have an M9 9" built because this 12 bolt is not going to be happy once I get a few break-in miles on the transmission ![]()
