started on the dime every time. But on the way home it stalled out on me at the gas station. and i was like what happened. Checking everything and it wouldnt turn back on. it was acting like it wasnt getting any gas. Took the air cleaner off and found my choke was on full close. Opened it back up and it started right up no problems. got to my block and it did it again. opened it back up and it started right up. I guess i have to figure out a way to keep my choke open since i am not going to drive it during the cold months of winter. But over all had a great time with the chevelle today cant wait to get it aligned correctly and drive it some more

Good to see you finally have the 69 out and about! I know it has been quite a project to get it to this point!

On my 70 SS I jacked the engine up to remove the drivers side header. One tube was rubbing the brake distribution block and making a squeaking sound at idle. This car has a 427 with a very lumpy cam that caused the engine to jump around making the squeak unbearable. It seems to have started after I had the engine out for some work, I put new motor mounts on the engine before putting it back in, they must be a little different than the old ones.
Anyway, a torch and a ball pein hammer and no more squeak.

I took them off, tired of fitment issues. Noise, heat, etc. It's not worth the hassle to me. Not to mention you can make plenty of power on stock manifolds with the right combination.
