Hank, my heart goes out to you and your wife. Since you seem to have been kinda preparing for this, do you have any plans on what you are going to do ? Sounds like Tony has a cold one waiting for you.

Sounds like a plan Tony. I'll have to give Ray a call, haven't talked to him in weeks. Hope he is doing well.

Nancy, my plans are to sit back and catch my breath. I have been walking a tightrope for a year, not knowing which way to go. Well now I know which way to go, might like the direction but at least I know where I'm going. Thanks for your concern but you don't need to worry about us. As I said life will be different but we'll be okay. Our kids are grown and making their own way. We have paid off everything but the house, a few years left on that. We won't be able spend money the way we have but we won't go hungry.

Life is good, enjoy what you have. What ever your problems there are millions of people that would love to trade their problems for yours.

37 years ? Gosh what a crappy thing to do to you.

I think the saying is when one door closes, another opens. Really do hope things work out for you guys.

Thanks everyone. I'll finish enjoying my time here in Florida. When I get back I'll visit Tony and we'll have a few beers. I haven't seen his latest project yet, need to check it out.

I get 26 weeks severance pay, about 3 weeks unused vacation time plus unemployment. So we should be good through the end of the year. I'll look at our situation then and decide if we should just retire or look for another job. I'll be 59 this June so Social Security is still a few years away. Might be able to get by on pension and 401K until then, maybe a part time job to fill the gab.

Just think of all the time you now have to cruise.
