Trailers are too easy to get titles for. I would've popped the vin tag off and had the state come out and stamp a new vin in it, YEARS AGO. When the guy came back for it, I would've asked him, "What trailer? That's mine over there and I have a title to prove it. If you take it, I'll have you arrested for stealing my trailer. Next time, Don't disappear for 8 years."
There would've been nothing he could've done about it at that point. ....but then again, I'm just evil like that.

Sorry to hear about the trailer Ray.
I guess at the very least, You paid 600 bux to rent it for 8 years. Some people don't own a trailer that long before selling it. There's a trailer co. in GA that sells some really nice trailers for an affordable price. A friend of mine bought one there and he's been very happy with it. I can get more info if your interested.

Live and learn Ray. It sucks but how much hassle and bad feelings is $600 worth. The guys a jerk, good riddens. As mentioned, you got to use it for 8 years.
