Hi, Ken how are you doing. I didn't want to go with a SS dash and when I saw this insert I new it was what I was looking for. The dash insert is from Metrom Products that has since gone out of business. The Parts Place still show they have some in stock. The insert is made out of billet aluminum with different powder coated finishes and goes for $450. You can pick what you want for gauges. I went with Autometer Sport Comps and bought them from Summit Racing. American Autowire makes a harness especially for the Autometer gauges for $100. The insert only comes with indicator lights for the blinkers. I bought two 5/16" painless wiring indicator lights the red one is for the emergency brake and the blue one is for the high beams. Total cost was right around $1000 for everything. I had my whole dash out of the car when I did this which made the job alot easier to do. I had to file some of the dash opening to get the insert to fit in properly. In the end I know I made the right decision buying and installing this setup and have a lot of people asking me the same question you did. It's different and well made. I still have more work to do on my car but should have it on the road this summer.

Take care for now. Hank

You know what I like about the group of people here? When it comes to the build of a car the members are not afraid to tell others to build a car the way you want. Sure a lot of people would love to have a numbers matching SS. But the reality is we bought these cars because we love them. We want to drive them and enjoy them. So if making changes to the motor, brakes, interior, color or whatever...we will love the car even more because it is ours and no one has a car "just like mine".

Build it the way you want it because you are the one who will be driving it and having a blast!!!
