Wink Thanks for the warm welcome

Ya'll must all be from the South too, thanks for makin a Gal feel welcome! Am excited to share I spoke with the original purchaser of the 71 Heelz Mobile as I have dubbed it...I went by the trim shop where it's been for awhile now and the hood was up so I noticed the trim tag...had a unique paint code of just plain "C" I'd never seen the likes of before (I know I've seen a few but never seen them all so I keep an open mind and skeptical eye)....started pullin the P&Ps and references, not on file anywhere. So I called up my friendz @ Hinshaws- nope, never saw one like that....ditto from my past Chevelle club Prez....So I am thinkin well maybe?? naw....so I called the lil fella that bought it new, he's still alive and kickin in Durham...was glad to hear from me and confirmed this car was purchased from the dealership with the special Carolina Blue paint, blue trim & blue vinyl top...so since he didn't order it that way the dealership did, maybe for promo or just cause they loved the Heels too? Was sold from the Harriss-Conners dealership June 1, 1971 so it could not stink of more Heelz locality. It's a great piece of local history...it was for sale but after mullin it over Ima just hang onto it and sell one of the kidz! LOL

It was put back as a driver, no known history so we built it back as a mild clone, smooth 350 A/T

The 1971 Tarheelz Mobile:

One thing about Crystal is she drives her Chevelle everyday, she is a great person and dedicated member of the CCA.

Default More Mess O Mine

Thanks for the intereset ya'll...the truck is a 72 K10...ya'll know that's a 4x4 I am sure....it was purchased about 7 years ago from up in the hillz of VA (literally)....it's had a new 4 bolt 350, rebuilt tranny....the body is terminal, we've had plans to find a donor body and transplant it. Right now it's a great trash truck, diamond in the rough. Also have an original 67 C10, 3 speed on the tree, 350...it's just kinda hanging out too...need to let that one go I reckon..lol they are all so great and like Mr. Mann said: "It ain't what ya got, it's what ya got paid for!" That's good stuff there!
