wow . well i got ahold of org owner of chevelle 69 year old man . he told me car is not a ss he has a copy of org title . but all title n vin on door matches and ran vin decode n comes back as super coupe ? n have org paper work from him with a vin tag that matches . but he told me it was org 283 3 speed on colum n he put it on floor . but guess n early 70s he gave car to a school for a school project and body was real ruff so they changed the body n put the bucket seats and 67 tail lights in it . but he also told me he has all chrome and 66 tail lights n all for the car but dont wanna get rid of that cause thats all memory he has of the car ... but after all that happened the car has been sittin in a barn with a dirt floor since 78 . but i was glad to actually find out some info from him about the car .

I think that it would be cool to actually talk to the original owner. Just to hear all the excitement in their voice when they talked about the car. You are a lucky guy !

ya he was a 69 year old man . he used the car for a comp car for his comp most of its life till 78 when he gave up on it . id jus be a happy guy if he would come off all the chrome and rear panel to put 66 tail lights back in it lol

i had a 95 mustang gt had blown motor but had motor went with the car and a guy asked if id be interested in trading n said hell yes . even tho the chevelle needed more or lot more work then the stang . n way i seen things theres millions of newer stangs out there but not many chevelles . but when i got the car it came with some org paper work for the car and i looked up guys name online and found his number so gave org owner of the car a call . and i was shocked when he told me he gave the car to the guy i got it from . but o well im jus hopin can afford get somethings done to it and make it a driver for weekends prob or nice days but im sure in time it wont take long . it needs lot work but they dont make cars like use to i luv old cars

It is amazing the things that people do to cars. Some of it makes little or no sense. But maybe it is just what was available.

I may need a lot of work, but like many of our cars, it will always be a work in progress. We all look forward to watching your progression.

ya .... thats 1 thing is driving me nuts bout the car is the 67 tail lights.. i dont mind them but thats not whats supose to be in it and they gotta go haha

jus wanted to share this photo org owner of the car sent me ... he owns a screen printing place and he had that car on cover of 1 his papers n was this pic i thought was awsome .
