I happened to be at an Air Rifle shoot this morning and we were talking about car "Snobs". Most of the guys in the conversation were guys who had bought some of the late 50's and early 60's cars new. They had built them up, putting in bigger cams, and modifying it anyway they could. Now that they are older, many admire the older Corvettes and Mustangs, but dislike how "Snobbish" the owners are. It was the consensus of the these guys that the ones that owned numbers matching cars were the worst.
I asked most of them, if they could own a classic car now, what would they own. All of them said none. I laughed, they said it was because it was too much work and that they would rather admire the work that others put into their cars, no matter what make or model. I said....good answer !
