Im still doing great. I basically have quit trying to lose weight anymore, not because I cant but because I am more concerned with building my fitness level and am letting the chips fall where they may basically. I am in the area I wanted to be weight wise, but also realize that as I pack on muscle my weight will go up. My ultimate goal was to be under 10% body fat and I have reached that goal, at a higher weight than I thought I would.

This past saturday I ran a 5K running race with my 8 year old daughter, her first. Together we ran it in 36:45, Im thinking if any of you guys suddenly thought it seemed bright out that was from the pride coming from me after watching Ally run a full 5K at only 8 years old!!! Plus my 6 year old daughter did the kids 1/4 mile race and she finished third overall and won the girls division!!!! I'll tell you what, I was the proudest person ever on Saturday.

Now I just signed up for my first triatholon, which is on June 26th. It has been a personal life goal of mine to complete a triatholon, but I was never a runner so I stayed away. Now I get to finally do it about a month from now. I am so pysched up for it, I cant wait. I think triatholons are one of the ultimate tests of physical fitness as they test physical strength and mental strength as well as your cardio strength.

Great job Ray, way to stick it out and reach your goals!!!!

Congratulation, you guys are doing a great job.

Sadly my weight has went the opposite direction due to illness for the past many months. I cannot wait for that to change. Really miss my daily walks. They were great for relieving stress.

Anyone having any luck still? I finally reached my goal of 220 this morning. Started back in December at 280, weight 247 in April and a month ago I weigh 225. Took over a month to lose the last 5 lbs. Been hard but well worth the effort. Now I just have to keep it off.

I'm 5'10 184. Last winter. I was 192. The most i've weighed in a few yrs. I watch what I'm eatting. And walk 3 miles a day! Not only did I lose some weight. I feel beeter also. Plus in the winter. we joined the gym at the new high school. Walk inside. Above the gym floor. Plus you get to watch the kids play basket ball. We take our grand kids there once in a while. While we walk. They play.

Well I did my first triathlon over the weekend. It was just a sprint distance, 1/4 mile swim, 15 mile bike and 3 mile run, and I can tell you I am now addicted to triathlons!! What a rush, it drains you both physically and mentally. Any of those single sports and distances on their own are pretty easy, but go back to back to back as fast as possible with them all and it becomes a challenge for sure. To keep the mental strength to keep yourself going in itself is a chore. I love it, it was physically demanding and I cant get enough of it. I have already signed up for another and likely their will be a third yet this year. The first was an excellent learning lesson in how to do them, so the next one I wil be better prepared for how the transistions work and such. Now I want to try an olympic distance one, 3/4 mile swim, 30 mile bike, 6.2 mile run. The training has begun for that

Good job Rick, I bet you do feel better overall.

I'm 5'8", 145 so weight is not a problem. I do need to be more active. Summer time helps, I stay pretty busy working around the yard or on the cars. If I work my butt off outside I may be exhausted at the end of the day but I know I feel better than if I did nothing.

Jeff, good for you, sounds like you found a new passion. Good luck on the next event.
