Thankfully no frozen pipes here this morning. I left all the kitchen sink cupboard and bathroom vanity doors open last night.
It's 5 degrees here right now with a -11 chill factor. Coldest temps here since I moved to GA in '85!!
My 2 yr old hi-efficient Trane hasn't stopped running since about 6pm last night. I even heard it go into higher speed turbo mode a couple times.

Had to run some errands and meet friends for lunch.
My 1st stop was to make a deposit so went thru the bank drive-thru. All the windows on the truck were frozen...I guess from that rain the night before last.
But, parked the truck out in the sunshine while at lunch. Windows now are working fine.
Weird!

Okay, you left out some words in your post, lay off the Coke. Maybe you meant warmer where Ken is than in Fenton.
Do I look like a weather man? I just report what I read in our local paper. My measurements show 22" but that is on my deck. It was -17 when I left for work. Oh by the way, you are only 18 miles away...but then I don't expect you to be a GPS unit....ha

So in conclusion, we have a shit load of snow and it's colder than hell and it takes less than a tank of gas to your house.

Well the plow finally came down our street. Took him 6 passes to clear but not completely remove the snow. He also covered up all of our driveway ends. I tried using a flat shovel to clear ours, but then decided to get the 2 stage blower out. With the temp at -3* and breathing the exhaust from the blower along with COPD (what killed Phil Everly) it just about did me in. Got it cleared and made it back to the garage and took a few puffs off of my Ventolin inhaler so I could finally breathe again.......that was scarry.

Mapquest says Hell is 22.26 miles from my house. That's probably wrong though since it says Fenton is 22.34 miles not 18 miles.

They still haven't plowed the our side streets. We live in a township so the county is responsible for our roads. They just showed on the news some freeways closed, police forcing cars off because they're a sheet of ice. The snow has been cleared off, just ice left now, too cold for salt to do anything.
