While you make a very good point Ric, I'm sure other people could come up with a few tidbits of interesting conversation if they tried.

Ended up with the Ruger SR9c. Fondled the M&P 9c, a Glock, Bersa, Sig Saurer, everything they had that was comparable to the Ruger. The Sig came close but the Ruger was the best fit/feel for my hand. Did a lot of research online and seems to be a pretty good gun. Heck most of them are good guns just a matter of what feels most comfortable to you.

Now Henry thinks he needs a semi-auto. He tried all the guns while we were there and he also liked the Ruger best. Like me he doesn't have big hands. So maybe the 3 of us can go to the range.

He thinks I should give him my S&W stainless 38, I don't think so. He does want a semi-auto too, I'm sure it won't be long before he buys one.

Bill, so far the SR9C has been good. A little over 500 rounds, 4 different types of ammo, no failures. Ric (Beckman) and I went to the range on Monday, he tried it and liked it, he's looking for a new 9 mm. He brought his M&P 22, bigger than the SR9C. Not a bad gun but I didn't care for the rear sites being just black. I had a hard time lining them up, it was overcast and rained on off while we were there.

Yesterday Ric, my son and I went to CPL training, same as CCW in other states. My son, he got the SR9C also, had one stove pipe with his. Limp wrist? I don't know, that's what he was thinking. Anyway, I think the Ruger was a good choice.

Oh, it seemed when I got around to firing 100 rounds through it, the trigger seemed to stiffen up? Of course the gun is hot at that point, every experienced that? I'm sure things will loosen up over time.
