It's 90* and I'm wearing a sweatshirt.

My house is so freaking cold,I can't stand it.I'm about ready to set up a tent and sleep outside. I basically live on the patio, front porch and garage when I'm home.I even have a little office set up on the front porch.:D

Is your air conditioner stuck on high?
Out here in NM. we have swamp coolers and we can't get our house to cool down untill about 10pm.

It's the wife.:p I hate air conditioning.

Rharp 07-07-2011 10:07 PM

My wife is the complete opposite.
She wants it to be 90• in the house all the time.
I used to live in New Jersey, so I'm having a hard time understanding how you can spend so much time outside with that humidity.
That would stop me in my tracks.

I agree I like it warm around 75, no air conditioning at my house

Hank70SS 07-08-2011 06:04 AM

75-76 is what we have the AC temp set to. We turned it off yesterday and opened the house up. We've had it on for about a week since the temps have been high 80s or 90s and high humidity. Yesterday we got a break, the humidity dropped and temps in the low 80s. Nice to get some fresh air in the house.

Derek69SS 07-08-2011 07:53 AM

Set the A/C to 79*

I also open windows each night if the temps & humidity are low enough. The A/C has only run 5 days so far this summer, and that's because it was too humid to open windows.

A/C is primarily used for humidity-control in my house. :)

I my house a/c is used primarily for bitchiness control.:p

ohhhh....those is fightin' words.

Ms Grumpy 07-08-2011 10:47 AM

I keep my house around 71 degrees. We turn it up in the daytime, especially if we are leaving. I like having the digital thermostat, it adjusts the temp and we don't have to worry about it.

I have my reasons for not using A/C much... the warmer it is, the less clothes she puts on. ;)

SS Shaun 07-08-2011 12:05 PM

mine is set for 75 and it only goes on because i have a toddler who runs around like crazy and she gets very red in the face so we put it on for her. but besides that fans are on and doors and windows are open

flash 07-08-2011 05:51 PM

In the south A/C is a must have but we dont cool the whole house .We have window units to cool only the rooms we use ,we dont want central as we like the white noise from the window units to block the sounds of the coyotes .

BillsCamino 07-08-2011 07:27 PM

Mines set at 75 and stays there. Runs when it needs to.
I did just have a new furnace/AC unit installed a few months ago which is doing a much better job maintaining a comfortable temp than the old unit did.
And it's been a HOT summer here...

You apparently did not understand my complaint,it is all about me being freezing cold in a house which is set at 65. New ac unit and $350 per month electric bills to boot. The unit never shuts down.I hate being uncomfortable, but what choice do I have?

If I had a body that would look better with less cloths on, I might consider letting him turn the air up. Take it where you can Derek !

$350.00 a month ????? dang
I would buy a bigger unit so it blows the heck out of her and runs less. Either that or only use AC in part of the house, close all the other vents.

This is your space....this is grandsports space. lol
