I absolutely stopped doing that a while back.......too much incriminating evidence should it fall into the wrong hands. Oh if she only knew.....

Remember the $100.00 for the steering wheel you bought from me.
Summit must love you, I hope they sent a sticker to you.

Oh, I started one of those books, I actually still have it. To be honest, in the 2 years that I spent restoring my car, the total of the parts was many tens of thousands of dollars, and I am still finding receipts. Now this includes the Dart 400 motor I have. But I was blown away when I totalled it up. Then a few days ago I found another big stack of receipts that I didn't know about.
My suggestion....don't do it. Just enjoy the build and all the progress you make. Just my two cents, and believe me, you are going to need all the cents you have.

the only reason why i did it is because I wanted to have a record of everything i have done or installed on my chevelle. And i can reference back to it when i need it. its not to keep track of my spending or to see how much i have spent its for things like adjusting my rockers. i had everyone asking me what cam do i have and i was like umm let me look at my order sheet. now i have it in a folder with the cam card and i can easily open up the binder and say i have cam xyz and the cam card says abc

My receipt envelope was busting at the seems it was time for a bigger folder. My wife took a guess and I think she is pretty close to what I've spent. Every time I think I'm getting close to the end something else pops up. When it's done it will all be worth it though to me.
