It's legal here, usually corn which is pretty much what they eat in southern Michigan anyway or carrots. It was banned for awhile because the DNR said the feed piles were spreading the bovine tuberculous. Guess that's cleared up and I think it's okay now. I wish they wouldn't feed them. Brings them in here and when there is no feed they eat all the bushes, flowers and other plants in the yard. We're overrun with white tail in this area, they bring in sharpshooters to thin the heard in the metro parks because there are just too many of them.
