Default *&%#@

We've had the same health insurance provider, Health Alliance Plan, for over 20 years. Through my employer when I was working and now through Michigan Public Schools Employee Retirement System. Coverage has always been good, no complaints. Saturday we get a letter from them telling us we're being moved to the blah blah blah preferred network effective 1/1/2015, just over 2 weeks from now. Pretty shitty deal, they could have given us a little more notice.

Of course our primary care physician and any specialists we've seen are not in the blah blah blah preferred network. So they expect us to pick all new doctors within 2 weeks during the holidays. Well we're not picking new doctors we're switching to another insurance provider so we can keep our current ones but that won't take affect until 2/1/2015. So we can't even get a prescription from a doctor in Janurary.

Lynda called the doctor's office to see which of the providers we can use that they suggest. Good thing because the girl said stay away from the one that was our first choice. She also welcomed us to the club, all the people who's insurance changed dramatically thanks to Emperor Obama and the democrats.

Everything our government touches gets F'd up.
