How does an overflow bottle recirculate the overflow back into the cooling system? I was thinking about just using a catch can, so that in the event of a boil over or puke episode, that it wouldn't spray all over everything. Right now I just have a length of 1/2" clear tubing with some braided steel over it, and it has made a mess of things. Seems like a JY run might score me some sort of restorable holding vessel. Is there any sort of real advantage to having one that can put the fluid back into the radiator?

Again, I'm just quoting what someone else wrote on another site, but its my understanding that using a recovery tank raises the boiling temp on the coolant. If so then that alone is worth a shot.
