I have a 70 as well. My garage is a typical 2 car, 2 doors, around 9' wide, with a foot or so of brick in between them. Also have a steel post in the middle of the garage, there are bedrooms above. My Chevelle fits no problem, not a lot of extra room for working on it but it fits fine. A 68 is has basically the same frame but the body may be few inches narrower. I'll measure the car itself.

EDIT: Ok, my car is just over 6' wide, roughly 74" and welcome to the site.
