Thanks Hank. I talked to the nurse at around 4:30 this morning. She said his breathing is very shallow and today should be his last. I agree, it makes no sense to me to see him this way. The should be able to do something, but there are "laws" they have to follow.

There are laws, but. When my mom was in hospice they said they would give her enough morphine to may her comfortable. It may hasten her death but she would be comfortable.
