Help my car won't start!

Took a 30 minute cruise in my car,pulled in my driveway to dust him off and an hour later he wont start!Backfired throught the carb and that's it! First problem in 3 years,I hope I can get him in the garage tonight,my drive has a slite grade going in.Crap
