Using a decent 350 4 bolt block, along with the parts list shown, I'd build a 383. Need lots of TQ for our heavy Chevelles on the street.
I built the 383 short block that Chuck is using in a project he's outlined in the past two issues of Chevelle World.
IMO, it's crazy to build a 355 motor when a 383 can be built for the same amount of money. A decent GM 350 4 bolt block can easily handle the additional stoke.
