We did not get central air until about 4 years ago. We always had window air conditioners. But with a work schedule that required me to wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning, it was just really starting to cool down by the time I was having to get up. Alot of times I would get maybe 3 hours of sleep before a 10 hour day, salary sucks.

I love my A/C !!! Can't imagine life without it.

93..ouch..and add any humidity to that, and trying to get any sleep. It just doesn't happen.

Don't get me wrong, we love to have the windows open, but it just ain't happening.

AC keeps the humidity down so my ammo stockpiles stay dry.

I dont mind the heat too much at all, as I simply hate cold, but I cant sleep at all when its hot. I like to be under covers and the central air makes that happen. Trying to sleep under nothing more than a sheet is a useless venture for me, sleep just wont happen like that.

I remember before the central air, used to take a spray bottle filled with water and mist the sheets. This used to help cool me down to be able to get a little sleep.
